The word "Made in China" doesn't appear on any human or dog/cat food that comes into our house. I even question things that say don't say they are "Made in China" but say something like "Distributed by So and So company, anyplace". I need to know the maker of the food is getting the ingredients from North America and that the food is manufactured and packaged in North America. More recently I am not buying other products Made in China (e.g. drinking glasses, plates, coffee cups, food containers, etc.) but this can be way more difficult. 😞

I just got a call from the vet on Buddy's blood panel results and all looks good. I'm going to continue with the diet I'm feeding him since it seems to be working. His thyroid test last June from Dr Dodds also looked good. If your Basenji is experiencing any skin, coat or digestion problems try eliminating all grains including rice and see how it goes.

Zip is on Evo turkey and chicken small bites and she does well on it.
Today is day 1 of transitioning Riley from Innova puppy to Zip's food….Liz measured out all the right amounts a week or so ago before we ran out of his old food so he's all set with little baggies of old+new mixed kibble with the day written on all of them...so cute (good job honey).

Zippy's poo got significantly smaller when we started her on Evo and I have to say that we're looking forward to that with Riley. He has AT LEAST 5 lbs on her so you know...bigger dog, bigger poo. Just add Evo 😃

So have they closed all investigations? Did the FDA pull their investigators out of China? I have not seen the anything that has been finalized about all of this so if you could provide a link with that information I would appreciate it.

I don't have a link handy, and don't have time to do a search this morning, but I do know that the pet food recalls ended late last Summer and there haven't been any more since then.

In Feb of this year, the FDA did indict two Chinese nationals, one Chinese business, one US company, and the president of that company for their roles in importing the tainted gluten, which was imported between Nov. '06 and Feb. '07.
I'm sure the info can be found at the FDA website. I'm almost positive that's where I got my information.
